Its a great that Muslims were able to help with this. However, being the US is the richest country in the world, its hard for me to fathom that the government didn’t step in to help like they would in disaster areas. Water is a basic necessity and obviously the people who benefited from the contribution were in dire need so then how come the government didn’t help? What would happen to these people if their water got shut off, especially in this extreme weather?
