Riyadh as-Saliheen Series – Hadith 3: Intention and Deeds “Verily, Allah has ordered that the good and the bad deeds be written down. Then He explained it clearly how (to write): He who intends to do a good deed but he does not do it, then Allah records it for him as a full good deed, but if he carries out his intention, then Allah the Exalted, writes it down for him as from ten to seven hundred folds, and even more. In Troubling Times, Appreciating Security The thought of living in fear, even for a short while, is itself fearful. But we can only appreciate security through reminding one another of the greatness of such a blessing, one of the greatest after the blessing of Islam. It is, perhaps, one of those blessings that we fail to rightfully acknowledge until some of it is taken away. Hence, in times of turmoil, it is upon us to look around and reflect over the state of those who’ve lost some of the safety they previously enjoyed. It is through such reflection that we increase in gratitude, whilst racing to take advantage of today before a change in state overcomes us.

Most needed at such times is a pause to withhold our complaints, fears, and worries from the people and turn continuously to the One Above.

Riyadh as-Saliheen Series – Hadith 1: Reward for Intentions

Riyadh as-Saliheen Series – Hadith 1: Reward for Intentions “There are people whom we left behind in Al-Madinah who accompanied us in spirit in every pass and valley we crossed. They remained behind for a valid excuse.”

Seeking Jannah: Inspiration from the Full Moon Every month, the full moon brightly adorns the night sky with a resplendent glow. At first glance, we recall that its fullness signifies the middle of the lunar month. Pondering over the beauty of this creation is one thing, but a slightly longer gaze may also remind us of some ahadeeth of the Prophet (sallaAllahu alayhe wasallam), wherein esteemed virtues are compared to the full moon.
