The last 10 nights are upon us. Hopefully we will be all busy inshallah making extra worship in these special nights.

Eid is around the corner. Those who live in the Northeast are looking forward to the Six Flags Eid gathering. Hope everyone takes advantage of this great opportunity to celebrate and enjoy Eid!

In other political news, it seems that the Sarah Palin’s shooting star has lost its fuel, and coming down to back to earth with a thud. Her inexperience, religious extremism, and Bush-like dumbness (like maintaining that Alaska’s geographical proximity to Russia makes her an expert on the issue!) are all coming together to unravel her enigma.

Im new here! I love the open discussion and I hope all imams follow in these footsteps inshAllah.
For this post my comment is political.. Unfortuantely many democrats dont want to vote for obama bc they are racist (source is msn news)and even more bc they think hes not ‘competent’ enough. It boggles the mind because palin is inexperienced also and could be next president. Also Obama has chosen a very experienced man for vice president.

I am sure everyone has already heard of the terrorist attack on Marriott hotel in Islamabad. Could there be a more heinous, cowardly attack at iftaar time, killing innocent civilians, the vast majority Muslims?

I cannot understand the level of brainwashing and whatever other toxic combinations that would lead a human being to commit such an atrocity. In fact, these people are not humans, they are vicious, disgusting, blood-thirsty animals who have no shame and no sense of deen and morality.
And this happened an hour after Pakistan’s number 1 crook, Mr. 10%, jaahil, uneducated, Zardari, gave a speech in english (just barely) as President of Pakistan. What a sad state of a nation built upon great ideals–terrorism rife under a jaahil president. Is there any hope left for this nation? What does the leadership reflect, if not people? When are Pakistanis going to wake up and change their own lives first and then the system?

May Allah destroy the scourge of terrorism, and bring to justice these terrorists and their sponsors. And may Allah change the state of the people of Pakistan, so we can deserve, for once, sincere leaders.

really what ws the even about?

brother Amad it doesnt make sense to me that muslim would do suicide bombing against other muslims considering the fact that muslims are not allowed to kill innocent people and there is no misinterpretation on that part , there is absolutely no confusion on it. Its so clear

You are right Mulsimah… Muslims are not supposed to kill innocent human beings. Unfortunately, brainwashing can make people do a lot of crazy things.

Let’s include this family in our Eid celebration.

Since last year, this Muslim family in New York has gone through really tough time. They had a gas explosion in their apartment that killed the mother and severely burned all their 4 children (one is blind now).

HalfDate is calling you to send them an Eid gift, also to send thank you notes to non-Muslims who helped them, e.g. NY Firefighters and the hospital.
