The girls from Sisters Film Club met up with Baba Ali at the GPU2010 for a short chat about his work on Half Our Deen, Ummah Films (including the response to their latest film release ‘Doctor Director’), and the importance of the Muslim community’s relationship with the media.     He made a really good point about getting involved in the media. We have to start preventing injustices from happening to us, instead of only reacting when something bad happens. This doesn’t have to only be limited to things like movies, but I think we can apply that concept in our daily lives when we deal with non-muslims.
