Mashallah, great khutbah and just the type of khutbah needed to conclude the ilm Summit…..boy we missed it! :( I’m sure all the classes must have been recorded and I think it will be a great idea if the ilmSummit team could produce set of large dvds available for sale. we would love to be part of it as well.

and btw, nice recitation! I love the style in which the shaykh recites mashallah. : )

HELP!!!!….Assalamualaikum brothers….i enjoyed this khutbah very much im a little puzzled….i guess you could say im jealous i wish i could have went to this conference but i dont even know if my current knowledge of the deen would suffice but i guess all im trying to say is that i wanna learn as much as i can. well in reality i want to come closer and closer to Allah and sometimes i feel like i hit a road block. in my opinion i was not a practicing muslims because of my lack of knowledge…the little that i have learned and of course with Allah’s tawfique…my life has completely changed….but i yearn to learn more…i listen to lectures and try to read some things online….but what do you guys suggest the best way to learn about the deen???? im in an area that is pretty remote…theres a masjid like 30 minutes away but it doesnt seem like they offer any services of this manner which i think is sad….i just wanna try to get closer to Allah and if you guys could personally tell me some of the things you do that you feel helps you become closer to Allah on a day to day basis along with your advice on how to seek knowledge, sorta like Ilm summit knowledge…hope im making sense…sorry if this does not…just need some help…Jazakallahkair.

Brother you should check out the Almaghrib forums and see if there are classes in a city near you. if you don’t know about Almaghrib, it is the institute that ran this Ilm Summit. Not only will taking AlMaghrib classes give you more knowledge about the deen, they will give you a strong group of practicing Muslims to be friends with and support you, in sha’Allah.

check it out http://www.almaghrib.org and forums.almaghrib.org . I pray that this helps insha’Allah.

BURHAN UDDIN” provided a link which contains a compilation of Sh. Yasir’s recitations extracted from his Khutbahs

The link http://www.4shared.com/dir/7355901/d8c612f8/Recitations.html is no longer working.

I wish to listen to this compilation.

MashAllah, Sh. Yasir has a great recitation which touches the heart.
