A very brave and courageous man… may Allah give him and all those who are sincere tawfiq.

Consider again, folks, the power of the Israel Lobby in this country. This genius Professor, supported by the faculty, could not get tenure, while we see junkies becoming tenured Professors everyday. If anyone believes that this snubbing wasn’t related to the creaming he gave this liawyer Da-Show-witch, then they must be living in a hole.

I love how calm he is. He came to a university here a few weeks ago and the school would not let him speak, until the students and staff started a petition as well as emails to the dean and he was finally allowed to speak.
it was recorded:

I met him when he came to the Univ of Texas and asked him “what do you make of the conflict in the area with respect to it’s religious importance amongst all of the three major world religions – judaism, christianity, and islam? And how can we come to terms with that in retrospect to the Palestinian occupation?”
his answer, was excellent, and shows of a man with deep insight.
He mentioned that
‘we must speak the international language of Justice and Over coming oppression. This is the only language that if one looks at the history of this region since 1967 and until now, objectively, one will side with Justice and against oppression. In this case it is resounding against the Palestinian occupation. This language is something all can register and understand, and with this language we can win over the international community.’
Good stuff, i became an instant fan.
He also has an older debate with Wolf Blitzer (1989) that is borderline comical, check it out!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjfG8-teSc0
Also his books The Holocaust Industry, and Beyond Chutzpah: On the Misuse of Anti-Semitism and the Abuse of History are some serious slap in the face “showing the facts with stats” writings that are impeccable.
The man is, in short.. what’s up.
May Allah guide him to Islam. Ameen.

by the way, one side benefit i just was thinking about;
If anyone were to look at the biography of this man and what he had to go through as far as being denied, rejected, and taunted, and unjustifiably criticized for his writings and research by family, friends, colleagues; all the way from when he was a graduate student, to writing his doctorate. Throughout his academic carreer: from not being accepted to universities to teach for his views, from nearly being stopped from teaching, to nearly being sued..
this man is the epitome of what it takes to go against literally the ENTIRE Tide of Academia and be
under appreciated
under represented
under – everything..
But yet, he still fights and stands for the Truth with such vigor, and is loved and stood up for it.
And again the best appreciation i have for this man is to say that, We ask Allah, sincerely, to guide him to what is best.
People who set this type of example could serve as huge assets to our Ummah, and even as non muslims, give us a standard and precedent to always stand for the Truth.

great points abdul hasib, good to hear from you.
The man’s confidence, driven by his knowledge of what he believes is the clear truth, is remarkable.

This debate was just okay because it didn’t address the issues as much as it addressed Dashowitcz or whatever his name ism and his plaigarism.
A real eye-opener is what he says about the weakness of the Muslims and the Arabs in the following video:
” Do you know why nobody respects the arabs?!” – Finkelstein
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDe65-nF3FQ
what every Muslim needs to hear.

I took 4 classes with Finklestein at DePaul, in one of the classes he had us analyze this debate and the claims he made against Dershowitz, lets just say that the class was a lot more fun than I thought it would be! He is a great Prof.
