Great podcast. I rather liked Uncle Omar learning how to pronounce her name and overcoming his accent.

Interesting. I’m in the middle of the podcast so I’m not sure if they are going to talk about this or not, but I am wondering if Rihanna has been invited to Islam yet. She seems to have a fascination with Islam, she’s done some photo shoots in hijab, she has or had a Muslim boyfriend. I also think we have to have deep compassion for Rihanna. She is the descendant of Africans, kidnapped, enslaved, stripped of their language and culture and forced to work, in the case of her family, in the Caribbean, I believe. Now, she’s a billionaire, so maybe we don’t have to feel so sorry for her, but just keep in mind the deep wound that I believe all black descendants of slaves in the Americas have. I think for many of us Islam is a balm in Gildead, an attempt to heal that wound.
