I watched Sh. Muhammad’s version of this story, so it made it very interesting to see a different perspective on the same event. One was a leader, another a follower, but both felt the same crushing feeling and then the feeling of relief. AlhamdulillÄh that it worked out awesomely for both of you!
I remember that when our family arrived at the airport but was rejected that night to even get on the airplane to go to Hajj, it was one of the most trying times that we ever went to. However, AlhamdulillÄh, Allah (subhÄnahu wa ta’ÄlÄ) answered our duas and we made it the next day in the nick of time.

I can so clearly remember that sinking feeling when the Sheikh made the announcement. I also remember clearly the feeling of elation when we heard the call for the bus. There wasn’t a dry eye in the bus going to Arafah. Not one. Every single person was crying. Throughout my short life, I have experienced many moments when Allah has delivered me from despair. But none even approach the magnitude of this one. Jazakallah Khair, Saqib, my brother and fellow Hajji, for taking me back to that blessed time and reminding me of Allah’s infinite mercy.
