Introducing New MM Specialist: Dr. Ali Shehata

Published

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Ali Shehata will be joining MM as a specialist writer.

One of the interesting things we want to share about Dr. Ali was his visit to Kashmir as part of the earthquake relief efforts, and the excellent information/slide-shows he shared with many folks at Texas Dawah. A picture of his Kashmir trip can be found here. Dr. Ali also has written a book available on Amazon: Demystifying Islam: Your Guide to the Most Misunderstood Religion of the 21st Century

A bit more on his background:
Dr. Ali Shehata is an Emergency and Family Medicine physician currently living in the central Florida area. He was born in Maryland to parents who had immigrated to the US from Egypt. He has studied Islam mainly through traditional methods among various scholars, du’aat and students of knowledge here in the US.

Salaamu alaykum Dr. Ali. I am really interested in your current survey on Muslims growing up in the west and I was wondering how I can get the results of your findings/what you will be presenting at the da3wa conference. If you are ok with sharing them then my email is nacerabendelhoum@gmail.com if not, will there be another way to see your data?
