Welcome to MuslimMatters.org – Discourses in the Intellectual Traditions, Political Situation, and Social Ethics of Muslim Life.

(Don’t be intimidated by the long title; we just have a fondness for big words. Our real writings may be much less comprehensive! The guest writers will hopefully do their part to justify the outlined objectives.)

Keep supporting MuslimMatters for the sake of Allah

Alhamdulillah, we're at over 850 supporters. Help us get to 900 supporters this month. All it takes is a small gift from a reader like you to keep us going, for just $2 / month.

The Prophet (SAW) has taught us the best of deeds are those that done consistently, even if they are small. Click here to support MuslimMatters with a monthly donation of $2 per month. Set it and collect blessings from Allah (swt) for the khayr you're supporting without thinking about it.

We’re a group of random (somewhat) normal Muslim bloggers, formerly authors of our own blogs but now members of this spiffy site. You’ll see that we’re all rather different in terms of our writing style, outlook on life, and more; yet we are also all united by al-Islam, and our goals of seeking Jannah (Paradise) and Allah’s Pleasure. Along with us “laymen”, we have the more intellectual, and knowledgable guest-writers who we are counting on to make this blog truly special and meaningful.

Well, I shan’t bore you with telling you all about us – that’s what the ‘About’ page is for, anyway – but we’d just like to extend a huge WELCOME (or as I’m fond of saying, ahlan wa sahlan wa marhaba bikum!) to all you readers, some of whom may know us from our old haunts and some of whom are no doubt new readers altogether. Whichever group you belong to, please make yourself comfortable and your thoughts known!

Pull up a chair (we have a variety, ranging from super-comfy La-Z-Boy armchairs to spiffy swivelly ones), grab a drink (by which we of course mean tea, coffee, soda, and other 100% halaal beverages) and a bite to eat (the buffet table is as multicultural as our staff, so check it out!), and cast your kindly eye over our literary offerings.

JazakumAllahu khairan!

On behalf of the rest of the staff, your host for the evening

~Mouse~

    Assalam Alaikum:
Neat work you have here. Just a suggestion: Could you PLEASE make the type font bigger? It’s way too tiny and a real strain on the eyes if you want to read more of the blog! Please do something about it and all the best. May Allah always guide us. Ameen.

    We’ll consider the suggestion, thanks.
