When the whole world sleeps

There is a quiet disaster

Wreaking havoc like a beast

The birds may not chirp

The cars may not honk

But there is a fire raging

In the believer’s heart

He doesn’t know where to go

Whose aid he should seek

A man full of despair

In a world gleaming with fantasies

He raises his hands

With desperation and angst

He asks the one above

For guidance and ease

In the depths of darkness

When the whole world sleeps

There is a quiet disaster

Wreaking havoc like a beast

In the third of the night

When the Almighty comes down

He questions his slave

Are you calling on to me now?

In this late hour at night

When all others are asleep

What is it that you want

My dear child that calls unto me

The man cries and cries

Whispering prayers into his hands

Hoping for some consolation

Or maybe some peace of mind

With each troubled whisper

A heartache, wish, desire

Has been emptied from his heart

In the depths of the darkness

When the whole world sleeps

There is a quiet disaster

Wreaking havoc like a beast

With the passing of the night

The troubled soul finds ease

He’s laid his worries to rest

By confiding to the one

The Ar-rahman, the Ar-raheem

The most compassionate, the most merciful

The one who loves each child

More than his mother and his father

And the one, the Almighty

Who has the power and the strength

To resurrect this dead heart

To feel alive once again

Ma Sha Allah! A beautiful poem, a Ni’aamah of Allah The Almighty. May Allah keep His a Rahmat, Barkat, Ni’aamah, Hifaazat, and Hidaya on you and all of us Mu’mineen. Ameen. This beautiful peom, Alhamdulillah, really motivates me. Alhamdulillah, I realized that there is hope, as Allah Sub’haanahu wa Ta’ala is always there to answer our prayers, and, inna, He loves his obedient and believing slaves. Sub’haan-Allah.
