Brothers and sisters. In this short talk, I would like to share with you some principles, some points, ones that can help you to overcome these challenges in life. The most important one for me is to start with “Ath-thiqa billah subhanahu wa ta’ala.” That every time you face a challenge in your life, I want you to always have that faith in Allah . That you don’t ever give up hope in Allah . When Yacoub , years after he lost his son, any ordinary person would think that son is gone forever But he says to his children, “Ya bani yath-habu fa ta hassassu me yusufa wa aakhi. wa la ta ni asu … “The only disbelievers are the ones who forsake Allah . The only disbelievers are the ones who are going to lose their hope and trust in Allah . We all should remind ourselves. Every time we meet a challenge, inna rahmatAllah qareeb minal muhsineen. That Allah’s mercy is so close to the muhsineen. Fa alayhi tawakkalu, put your trust in Allah , in kuntum mu’mineen, if you are a believer. Wa tawakkal ‘alal hayy – alathi la yamoot. He said, “Put your trust in the one who is the all living, who never dies”. Who is alive, who is beside you, who is capable of helping you, hasbi Allah – Allah is sufficient for me, la illaha illahu – I have no other one to consider except Allah the All – Mighty. “Alayhi tawakalt. wa huwa rabbul arshil adheem – I put trust in Him and He is the Great Lord, the Lord of the Great Throne.
All these verses inspire us, inspire us to always remember, to put our trust in Allah . It’s needed that you let Allah do it His way. We don’t always understand Allah’s method, we don’t always understand Allah’s way of handling and doing things, but at the end of the day, I have the trust that He is handling it. And I have trust that the one who is handling is the Most Merciful. The Most Caring one you can ever think of.

Sufyan , one of the great scholars of the Tabi’een said, he said, that I have never wished that my own parents would handle my affairs on the Day of Judgment. I always feel more comfortable with Allah handling this, than my own parents. You would think parents will, you know, absolutely they will not put you in hell-fire or your parents will get you the best, wish you best. Despite this he still said, I would never wish my parents to be my judge. He said I’m so glad that Allah (swt) is the only one who is going to judge people on the Day of Judgment. Why? Because he believed what the Prophet has said. When he saw a woman, who picked her child after she lost her child. Can you imagine, you lost your own son for a while and you’re looking for your son and you pick your son and you basically grab him dearly to your chest. The Prophet said, “A ta rowan an hadiyati mulqaiyatan bi waladihan fin nar?” “Do you think that this mother will ever throw her child in hell-fire with her own hand? With her own choice?” They said, “No way Ya Rasoul Allah”. He said “Wallah, Allah arhamu bi ibaadihi, min hadhi hi bil waladiyah.” “Wallahi, Allah is more merciful with you than this woman with her child.”
Don’t ever think for a second you are away from Allah’s sight. Or Allah is not hearing and seeing what you’re going through. No, wallah. Allah always has a way, even when it looks like there’s no way out. And we all know the story of Musa , when his people saw the dead end, the sea. And what made it even more difficult, that Musa told the Bani Israel, The Children of Israel, that no one is allowed to bring weapons. Everyone leave their weapons at home. So now they told Musa you told us not to bring, not even a tool to protect ourselves. At that moment you might ask, what is Allah’s way out? How can He get us a way out of this? What would be the way, the dead end and sea? And an army, a well trained army against its citizens and those citizens don’t even have weapons to protect themselves. But look at the answer of Musa . It is a lesson that was heard and recorded by Allah –“kalaa, inna ma’iya rabbi sa yahdeen.” No way, no, “Allah is with me and He is going to guide me.”
I want to encourage you today to get your life back. I want you to stay filled with hope, with trust, with tawakkul in Allah . Because you are dealing with the Most Merciful, Subhanahu wa ta’ala.

“And strive for Allah with the endeavour which is His right. He hath chosen you and hath not laid upon you in religion any hardship; the faith of your father Abraham (is yours). He hath named you Muslims of old time and in this (Scripture), that the messenger may be a witness against you, and that ye may be witnesses against mankind. So establish worship, pay the poor-due, and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protecting friend. A blessed Patron and a blessed Helper!” (23 Surat-ul-Mominoon . Aayat78)
