umna Sadaqat is a researcher and writer with a keen interest in the intersections of Islam, politics, gender and Quranic hermeneutics. She recently completed her Master’s in Islamic Studies at the University of Birmingham, where her dissertation explored political Islam and Muslim women’s participation in India’s public and political spheres. Her work seeks to illuminate contemporary Muslim identities and highlight the ways in which faith, politics, and gender shape lived experiences.
