Chris Caras, originally of Peoria, Illinois, is a convert to Islam who attained Islamic studies degrees with honors from the Islamic University of Medinah in Saudi Arabia and master’s from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. He then worked in education for several Islamic organizations in St Louis Missouri, and was a part-time imam. Since the summer of 2019, he has been the religious director of the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh. Chris is married with 3 children.
