Salam everyone. Sorry to all the readers for a lack of Arts post these past few weeks, which can be blamed on major computer malfunctions. I’ve finally got my old iMac G4 hooked up to the net, so insha’Allah, we’re back on track – just about!
As way of an apology, and as a general treat, check out this super-cute video produced by brother Tariq on his super-amazing Canon 7D DSLR, masha’Allah (me want!). It’s titled, “Lil Kitteh”:

And now we resume with a selection of images submitted via the MM Flickr group. As always, click the images to view the originals. If you want to see your work on MM, then either email us your images to art[@]muslimmatters[.]org or submit them to our Flickr group.
There is but one God, by Sunflower Central. The background is a variety of blue water colors. In a darker blue the word Allah is painted. And then the cut Calligraphy was placed over top of the paint, to give it a slight shadow. In calligraphy on the foreground piece is the Bismallah.

Dr Mehzabeen b. Ibrahim joined MuslimMatters as a blogger in late 2007 under the handle 'iMuslim', whilst still a struggling grad student. Since then, she has attained a PhD in Molecular Biology and a subsequent Masters in Bioinformatics, and now works as a specialist in this field for a well-known British, medical charity, masha'Allah. Somewhere in between she found the time to get married, alhamdulillah. She likes to dabble in photo and videography, a sample of which can be found on her personal blog: iMuslim.tv.
The “Salam” image is lovely, I can’t believe that’s done with spraypaint. “Humbled” is a beautiful, tranquil image. The last one, “Time” has tremendous potential and is a beautiful piece of graphic design, but the text is a bit cluttered. I’d say focus on only a few key lines and space the letters better.
I only just noticed the “video poem” at the top. It wouldn’t play smoothly on this site but I followed the Youtube link and watched it. So cute and sweet! The child does a great job reciting the lines.
Salaamu Alaikum! that “salaam” canvas was made by me, I can assure u 100% lol although yeah, it does have a similarity to tha works of AerosolArabic… I actually got into stencils and aerosol through Banksy and started incorporating Arabic text as part of an Islamic art project (I myself am a graffiti artist/illustrator too, some of my works are on Flickr, hope that helps clear things up!)

If you could offer evidence in the form of a direct link, I can take action, insha’Allah. Otherwise, benefit of the doubt.
