Didn’t you know that Western Canada has a bit of cowboy blood, sweat, and tears in it also?
(Hence our Prime Minister’s disasterous public appearance in a cowboy outfit… *Shudders*)

Eid Mubarak everyone
Did anyone report seeing it Thursday evening in the States?
If it was seen in the east it would appear in the west.
Did anyone bother to look?

assalamalaikum Shaykh Hood.
The weather was pretty bad in most of northeast– overcast.
ICNA was taking reports today but this is probably the first time that we didn’t hear of any reports coming out of anywhere in America. Not even in Texas :)
So, most of US Muslims are Eid’ing on Saturday except the “One-world” crowd, who are doing it tomorrow. Zaytuna though started one day late, so they will be looking for the moon tomorrow night and there is a possibility that they may do Eid on Sunday. Amazingly, a small group of people in Villanova (Northwest Philadelphia) had Eid today (on Thursday). They go by the crescent birth: http://www.fiesite.org/ .
So, mashallah, we will have Eid in parts of America all the way from Thursday through possibly Sunday… 4 days of celebration!
P.S. Jazakillah khair Sr. Zaynab… Ahle MM… i like that!

We’re doing it on Friday in my city… we’re going by global sighting, and since a bunch of countries have reported seeing it, we’re going with them.
4 days?! Masha’Allah indeed! :)

Eid mubarak!
SubhanAllah, in the local community here, people started fasting on different days, some people local, some people global moonsighting, some people calculations, but subhanAllah, the majority of us here celebrated Eid together, which was on Saturday!
Allahu akbar, I think this was such a Mercy from Allah and so wonderful that we could celebrate Eid on the same day. :)
