Six years ago still seems like yesterday. The sequence of events that morning are still vivid in my mind. I remember walking to the student center at the university and seeing what was happening; a campus of 30,000 all cramming themselves around the few TV’s that they could find. I watched in horror as the events unfolded. Then, in my state of shock, I began to fear for myself, as other students started making comments about how Osama did it…looking at me, brown and bearded.
I still grieve for the victims of this tragedy. How can one not grieve when a fellow human being loses a loved one, a family member, a son, a daughter, a wife, or a mother. It is a grief that saddens the heart, especially when we feel it so close to home.
I thought I would take this opportunity to share a video response to the new OBL video, as well as some other reflections on what occurred on this day.
