Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullah
Is this conference call gonna be an online thing, or a ‘hardline’ thing? I’m a bit confused about how this is going to work. I’ll prolly be awake at that time (i have been the past week), cos i write best in the wee hours, so i figure i may as well check it out. But being based in the UK, just wondering if it’s possible?
Forgive my ignorance!

Jazakallah. It’s probably too late to make changes to your plans now, but if you ever do something like this again in the future, inshallah, please research into methods that utilize VoIP, or live webcasts (i think Sh. Yusuf Estes does them on his site), so that folks abroad can get involved, without worrying about long distance charges.
I pray that it goes well, inshallah. :)

PalTalk’s a great alternative as well… everyone with an Internet connection can participate for free, regardless of whether it’s long distance or not.
Next time, insha’Allah :)

Here is an mp3 recording of an excellent and timely lecture entitled ‘Preparing for Ramadan’ by Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi, which some of us attended in Cardiff 2 weeks ago. Insha’Allah it is of great benefit so please download it: http://www.4shared.com/file/23563183/bf1de5ed/Preparing_for_Ramadan_by_Yasir_Qadhi_24-08-07.html?dirPwdVerified=be726da2 (Please note it takes a short while to load the link)
Please share this as there is no copyright. It was kindly recorded by a brother from Cardiff called Hassan Omar.
