  10. Question for Sheikh Yasir

    November 22, 2007 at 2:44 PM

    Assalamu alaikum,

This is a question for Sheikh Yasir Qadhi or any of the other Shuyuukh on this site.

At my university, I have heard that Ibn Tayimiya joined some sort of a Sufi Order although we know him as someone to be strongly opposed to the Sufis and their beliefs. Where do you think these people are basing their argument from?

Also what is your opinon on Jalal al-din al-Rumi and and Abdulqadir al-Jeylani? I have never heard any criticism from Abdulqadir al-Jeylani but know that there are many things ascribed to him and those who claim to follow him.

    Jazakummallah.

The follow site is a well designed site suitable for those not familiar with the basics of Islam. It presents Islam as it is, without alteration from authentic sources.

It would be best placed in your “For people of other faiths” section.

    assalamualaikum,
I hope you are of best health and iman.

There are plenty of muslim blogs online. Alhamdullilah however they are quite scattered. As a blogger I am sure you know of digg, that is why alhamdullilah I have introduced MuslimGlobe http://www.muslimglobe.com similar to digg, we will be marketing this on a large scale to 1000 masjids inshaallah, as masjidi.com is our free websites for masjids projects, our project will also be featured in many popular media outlets on completion of the project inshaAllah, add your articles to share with the rest of the muslims on muslimglobe.com, your blog will reach a wider muslim audience.

Sorry to send post it here, but i need your help so please forgive me and let most of people see this and pray for my mom.
    May God bless you all.

    Dear All,

I am posting this just to request each one of you to please include my Mom in your prayers. She had a stroke on Monday night ( Mar 3rd, 08) and since then she is in Coma. Her name is Habiba Al Habibi. Please do include her in your duas . May Allah give her health and Life. Ameen!!

Also , if you happen to pray in Jamaat at masjid, if you ask imam to pray for her , it would be a help to your brother in Islam.

    JazakAllahKhairan

    Ahmed Habibi

P.S you can forward this message to your friends , if you think is might include more people in making the Dua.

As Salam Alaikum, Brothers and Sisters

I have been using one of these websites: “islamicfinder.org” for a long time now, but i have not been able to find out who is behind this website, (the furthest i’ve gotten is a p.o. box in saudi arabia and the company wasat alnaseej). The company appears to be saudi, but all of their websites appear to be hosted on american servers. Since i sometimes get my prayer times from this site, i just wanted to know who are the people running the site, thanks.
