Ruth Nasrullah is a blogger on the Houston Chronicle website. She is a convert to Islam who has a master’s degree in journalism from Emerson College. She is chair of the Women’s Committee of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston and is on the steering committee for the Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston’s Women’s Gathering. She previously served as coordinator of the Council on American-Islamic Relations-Houston chapter’s Media Committee. She is working on the creation of Light of Islam Bookstore, a nonprofit Islamic bookstore to serve both Muslims and non-Muslims in the greater Houston area.
