Omar Husain

Omar Husain attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, on a tennis scholarship, and graduated with a degree in Information Sciences. After graduating, he traveled to Toronto, Canada where he studied the Arabic language and began studying the Islamic sciences. He then returned to the United States and worked as a business analyst for multiple consulting firms. During this time, he was blessed to complete his memorization of the Quran. He then traveled to Cairo, Egypt, and, enrolled in Al-Azhar University. He graduated from the College of Islamic studies and Arabic Language at Al-Azhar. He has actively participated in various youth activities, and MSA study circles, as well as delivered khutbas, lectures, and held classes in various masjids across the U.S. He leads a Hajj and Umrah group yearly, is currently the Religious Director at MCECC San Antonio, and is pursuing a masters degree in counseling.
