Juz 17 brings us to the magnificent surah entitled al-Anbiyaa' - the Prophets. This surah has many well known and often quoted verses specifically on the subject of scientific evidences of the Quran and also because it contains the famous and oft-quoted verse, "And we have sent you (O' Muhammad) naught else as a mercy to the universe." [21:107] Yet, the main theme of this great surah is the various struggles of the different Prophets and their eventual success and victory over their people, hence the name of the surah. Returning to the reflections tafsir series that we started in Ramadan after too long of a break long, I want to start by reminding myself and all readers, especially in these highly virtuous ten days of Dhul Hijjah, of our main purpose for reading the Quran.
