It would help brothers to redirect the academic domains of their sisters, wives, etc. in the right directions. For e.g., Software Engineering is a nightmare for a sister. Back home, ~50% of the developers were chain smokers, and ~70% used to do real productive work after 5 pm. Then, the consultancy path in the same domain is all about talking to random guys all day long. And my personal experience - many of the sisters gave up on computer science after graduation in favor of marriage, mba, technical writing, or some other poorly paid subdomains in software engineering.
