Recently, the Muslim Inter-Scholastic Tournament (MIST) held regional competitions throughout North America.  MIST is “a fun, educational, interactive program of competitions and workshops geared towards bringing high school students together from around the nation to develop leadership, communication, and other creative skills, all while gaining a deeper understanding of Islam and Muslims.”  Among the various categories of the competition is the group short film project.

Today, we will be showing the awesome video that earned 1st place in the DC MIST competition’s short film category.  As you watch the video, think about your own priorities in life.  Do you pay more attention to your video games than to your prayers?  Are you nicer to your friends than to your siblings?  The below video has a very important lesson that we should all learn from.

very good short film, but it would’ve been better to not use music, you can use natural sounds instead. I know you want to use it to make a point, but that’s the reason music is not allowed in Islam. As a fellow film maker, it’s hard, but not impossible to go that route.
