    Assalamu Alaikum

I had to prepare and deliver some sessions on Parenting and found the books by Dr. Rida and Dr. Ekram Beshir extremely helpful – with lots of practical advices that one can put into practice almost immediately – Masha Allah.
it is wonderful how he relates building your own spirituality with child rearing. As a matter of fact, his first two chapters of ‘Meeting the Challenge of Parenting in the West – An Islamic Perspective’ deals with Tarbiyyah – Objectives and Basic Principles.
A very humble brother. May Allah reward him and his family for their good works.

    Assalaamu alaikum,

I read the transcript of the interview and have a suggestion.

For someone so published and recognized for their contribution on the topic of parenting, perhaps we could have asked him some more questions related to his expertise.
(e.g. “How have the challenges of parenting changed over the last generation?” )

I am not quite sure what kind of benefit there is in knowing what kind of cell phone Dr. Rida uses.

JazakAllah for your input- I agree and was wondering the same thing as I was asking Dr. Bashir that question- I will share my notes from the parenting workshop inshaAllah soon- pray Allah SWT puts barakah in my time.

These particular set of questions were for our What is in Your Ear segment, which is evolving.
