As salaam alykum,

" The Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam), Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) and Umar (radi Allahu anhu) were friends."

- Is'nt this beautiful true FACT clear enough ?
- The Prophet's (SWS) Seera is full of his LOVE for his companions...
- Then why do some of our brothers and sisters deny it ?
- Why the HATE for the three companions of our beloved prophet(SWS), to such a point that they 'spit' on their names ( even in
the prophets mosque in Madina ! ) ?
- How can they hate who the Prophet (SWS) LOVED ??

It makes me very very sad indeed ...

Make Allah (SWT) remove the HATRED in our hearts and turn it into LOVE for ALL who the Prophet (SWS) loved, so that WE can start loving each other for the sake of ALLAH ( SWT )... AMEEN.

Asalamu Alikum warahmatu Allah

MashaAllah, jazaki Allah khayr and may He increase you in khayr.

the Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Doesn’t it astonish you how Allah protects me from the Quraysh’s abuse and curses? They abuse Mudhammam and curse Mudhammam while I am Muhammad! (and not Mudhammam)” (Bukhari).

Could not help but notice the good nature of Rasulullah sallaAllahu alayhe wasallam, his maturity and his relaxed attitude towards their abuse. Allahu Akbar.

Jazaakum Allahu khayran for the kind words and duaas, I ask Allah to benefit us from what we learn.

I just wanted to make a correction in this post. Please note:

There was some confusion with regards to the narration of this duaa, may Allah reward the person who caught this and informed me of it.

The companion who made this duaa was actually ibn Mas'ood radi Allahu anhu and not Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu. Alhamdulillah it does not change the meaning but we wanted to correct this and inform anyone who has read it and passed it on. The article has been corrected.

I ask Allah to forgive me for my mistakes and shortcomings.

Some of the best times to make duaa include:

1- When it is raining
2- Between the Adhan and the Iqaamah
3- In sujood
4- When breaking the fast
5- Day of 'Arafah
6- Last 3rd of the Night
7- When travelling

Here is a short article that mentions some more times: http://www.islamawareness.net/Dua/best.html
