    wow…subhan Allah
my friend’s 2 siblings got it, and my co-worker’s cousins did too
    all fine though

Du’as for him. If he’s patient, his sins will be removed…so, this maybe this is a good thing!

      assalamualaikum,

Allaahumma rabbannaas adhibil ba’as , ashfi anta ashshafee. laa shifaa illa shifaauk, shifaaul la yughadir saqama. ameen.

may Allaah cure and purify him and remove his suffering as He alone cures and none else and make this cause of removing of his sins. ameen.

      wassalam,

ps. i understand that its not your intention insh Allaah but its a very negative way of condolence by saying to a patient that so and so also got it or comparing the disease with others and some may add to lead it to someone’s death. yes, its from Allaah and its curable. please use nothing but kind words and duas and mean it. i did not read any other comments/update except this

      • Farhan

err, you’re right. I re-read my comments and see how it could be interpreted as such. That was not my intention at all. I hope only the best from Allah for him and his family.

        My sincere apologies.

    As salaam alaikum wr wb

dude, the h1n1 virus isnt that scary.

Its making huge news because of how quickly its being spread. (wash your hands everyone!!!)

However some1 gets it (as long as theyre immunocompetent, and not really young ,or really old, or pregnant) – its not that big a deal – and is just like the regular flu. I had it earlier this summer, and its very common throughout the US – at least in some parts of the US. Yes -it sucks; persistent fever, chills, feeling really fatigued, etc. but Inshallah Dr. Shehata will be fine after getting some bedrest for a week or so. Or even sooner if he diagnosed himself earlier and is taking tamiflu.

He is kept under isolation currently.

I hope you mean – hes staying isolated at home. There is no need to be hospitalized for the h1n1 virus unless you are immunocompromized (AIDS, etc.).

I’m a little nervous about the flu stuff going around but Insha’Allah if we take good care of ourselves, eat healthier, sleep, avoid exposing ourselves to other infections while our immune system is under attack (so avoiding the hospitals or doctors offices), etc… then insha’Allah it will pass just like any other flu.

May Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala bestow His Mercy on us. Ameen

    Shifaahullah.

The latest in the media in Toronto is that deaths due to H1N1 come due to secondary bacterial infections. If patient has underlying bacterial infections or if flu lasts more than 3-4 days, make sure to start antibiotics.

    Ameen to all the duas.

I think the brother’s post is a little late though. From what I understand, Dr. Ali has almost completely recovered by now, walhamdulillah.
