Im not muslim..but i met one good friend who is...then slowly i admire some of the great virtues of muslim.
Muslim teachings, if practice religiously...can turn bad people to good ones. I admire how my friend shows his devotions to allah, I really find it hard to pray as often as he does for his religion. If only people will pray as hard as true muslims are..maybe there be less crimes, less fighting , more love, and peace in the whole world. I love great people like muslims who follow Allah's teaching from the heart.....Great video..hope all hearts will have the essence of what real muslim is......Bless u all my dear brothers and may your tribe increase.

May you also continue to share the good news to all the people....I know , you are an instrument to lead people. God bless you!

That was an interesting and helpful post. Jazakallahu khayr Br. Musa.

I have a somewhat similar story to your own, in that I did not start practicing Islam right after my conversion, but it took about 6 months before I even started to pray, and at that point it became absolutely essential to me that I learn how to pray. And for me that was the biggest hurdle--once I started to pray absolutely everything else came easy. I prayed a few voluntary fasts, began to wear hijab, all within weeks of starting to pray.

So sometimes I suggest to converts, or any Muslim starting without strength in their faith or practices, to focus on the prayer first. For me, I think I got hung up early on regarding what is haraam vs. what is halaal. Not to say that these things aren't important, but I found prayer to be essential to moving forward in Islam. I also strongly recommend others to develop strong relationships with Muslims--it was another turning point in my faith when I began to surround myself with Muslims, something that was tremendously beneficial.

Jazakallahu khayran again, inshaaAllaah I will be sharing this video with other converts as well.

Only would add 4 things.

1. Be gradual, don't try to do everything at once.

2. Mix with a variety of people, and look at how they behave.

3. Find someone who you trust or respect and have the help you when you have problems (deen-wise).

4. Stick with hanafi opinions when you start out.

Great video mashAllah. my husband and I are both converts from Hinduism to Islam and been muslims for 2 yrs alhumdulilah... this advice was very relevant to people who have just become Muslims ... the best thing to do once you become muslim is to run after knowledge as much as you can... and make dua to Allah to keep obstacles like lack of time and money and family problems out of your way so you can gain that knowledge inshAllah... Knowledge is Power.

It amazes me how someone can convert to Islam within the last eight years and be so ahead of me in terms of knowledge and contribution to Islam, despite the fact that I've been Muslim my whole life!
