I was in a pro-Palestinian rally recently. (I wouldn’t call it anti-Israeli though.) It was a nice small gathering. There was poetry, there were some speakers and there was adhan and prayers. It was by no means a Muslim-only gathering.

Another interesting incident we saw was a pro-Israeli rally which was completely outnumbered by pro-Palestinian protesters. About 1-3.

how would israeli zionists respond to a campus sit-in? wAllaho’Alim.
if it were jewish students, probably, mildly rebuke them in public as idealists who have never yet shed blood for their country.
if it were Palestinian students, probably, bomb the lecture hall, every courtyard around the hall, every dormitory and classroom of the university… and then assert strongly that intelligence indicated that the students were mustering Hamas militants.

Seeing this makes me wish I was still a student. :)

I engaged in a few protests back in the day, but never a sit-in. This form of ‘dignified’ protest seems preferable to me, considering how larger rallies sometimes lead to riots, and unIslamic behaviour, due to a few bad apples getting carried away, letting their anger – though understandable – get the better of them.
