Amazing khutbah, those houses that need to be owned, that’s a big fitnah that distracts in SO many ways – the trial by wealth / possessions is so clearly illustrated there.

Masha’Allah! outstanding khutbah. I myself have to give khutbah in an hour and after listening to this I decided to make a last minute change to the topic (and copy this one). May Allah reward you Br. Nouman- this is very relevant to the tough economic times we are going through.

    innalhamdolillah. bismillah.

    Surah Al-Hadid, ayat 20:
Sahih International: Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children – like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.

jazak Allah khayr, Nouman. mashaAllah, a very beneficial khutbah.
