salam alaikum
i think you're aking your point of view to the extremes. brother haytham put forth his point of view and i am sure that he or the other single brothers is not expecting cent percent results. its just what they wish for, and there is no harm in wishing... and dua for what they think is what they are looking for.

As salam alaikum..

Interesting article.

I am a single sister in age of late 20's and yet have just been dumped by a brother for some stupid reason. It is because we are from different country. With new technologies, our world has become so small yet there is still man with narrow thinking. I can accept if he is not an educated.. unfortunately he is an educated fellow.. moreover he is in the professional line working for a world class company. Can you believe that???

I know he will sooner or later read this.. so I would like to say.. Stop behaving like god. You are not one.

To all the brothers out there:

If you want a Khadijah, be a Muhammad.

Brothers worry about not having enough money before proposing, yet, what most sisters want is simply a brother who isn't a bum and strives hard to earn a simple halal living-who likes what they do and are not simply doing it or studying the matter in question simply to please their parents.

Brothers want an educated women but are unwilling to support a sister who's willing to work or do post secondary education in the fear that she forgets her family's priorities. Never once do they see her and her strive to meet her familiy's priorities while working/studying pre-marriage.

Brothers want an intellectual conversation and yet, are intimidated by a witty sister in the fear that she is too assertive.

Brothers want a shy and modest sister, and yet, feel that sister has no personality if she does not open up to him during the first coversation.

In conclusion, brothers are confusing.

Don't shoot me but these are things that I, being a single women and my single gal pals have noticed.

Getting married and living in a dorm while we both go to school and finish up our studies sounds like a pretty good idea to me, and also have kids later on... what do ya think???

Friend of Brother .. :D

Kidding, it's "Fresh off the Boat" .. so, fobs are immigrants and they are easily distinguishable as such. The term is defamatory for such people because they are not up to date with the fashion, the slang, and the lifestyle in general.

So, for example, when everyone drinks Espresso at office, freaks like me try to make doodh-pati chai (milk+tea) in microwave.. and it goes on :p

btw, Nouman Ali Khan once said that he's proud of being a fob.
