Here in NC we are getting alot of Burmese and Somali refugees. The community has helped set up their apartments, the masjid helps pay their 1st months rent. But ofcourse there is always a financial and volunteer need for our refugee program. If anyone wants to help let me know. I always wondered though why there are refugees coming from Burma. Jazakallah for this article... i remember during the protests, i saw a woman in hijab walking down a street, behind a news reporter. That was the first ever indication I had of the Muslim presence in Burma. May Allah grant them strength, and release the Burmese people from oppression. Ameen. I agree… never underestimate the power of dua.
