Invite To The Way Of Paradise – Yasir Qadhi speech in Chennai (Madras) India!

Published

Dawah in India is a hot item as of late. Organizations like Islamic Research Foundation, an India-based Dawah project headed by Dr. Zakir Naik, has been very active in bringing Western speakers to India to give speeches in English. The need for such programs, particularly in the English language, is very high and this is proven by the giant turnouts and popularity of events run by Dr. Zakir Naik and IRF.

One such event, was the 10-day Peace: Vision of Islam convention held in Chennai (Madras). The opening speech, entitled “Invite To The Way Of Paradise,” was given by Yasir Qadhi and is here on video for your viewing pleasure.

Viewers who are from India or have visited the country and understand the culture there will find this video very pleasing to watch. Education of Islam is rapidly spreading in India, particularly among the millions who make up the generation of working class IT and call center oriented Indian Muslim citizens. These brothers and sisters are well aware of their religion, and are open to read, study, listen, and inquire about it.

Some Indians may feel that growing up with Islam in their homeland was simply “do this, and don’t do this, ” without any thought of finding out more or asking questions. Alhumdulillah, with projects such as these, things are changing, bi’ithniAllah, for the better.

After the half hour speech, there is entire half hour’s worth of Q&A, including a wonderful part where Shaykh Yasir helps Sartesh Babu accept Islam. Enjoy the video, and feel free to forward this to your family and friends, particularly to Muslims from the subcontinent. It’s a real treat from back home, YQ style!

Some of the Q&A in this video relates directly to the issue of Salvific Exclusivity which Shaykh Yasir is writing about on MuslimMatters.

It’s a tough job proselytizing here. You may get killed. (See especially the comments.)

Can you guys help me out at how to counter such averseness to Truth?

If somebody does not want to hear, fine. But why should he stop others?

When Sh. Yasir asks Sartesh whether he will accept Islam, in that period of silence, you can see the embodiment of hope and fear on his face. :)

Amazing lecture. I have one question, why are the speakers so far away and distant from the audience. It would be nicer if the two were closer to each other.
