Hi odd-one-out… it seems that you are not so “odd” in your views on the show; i also share them to some degree, though as my final review states, i do feel that there was some benefit in it, even for Muslims.

Watching the third episode I was a little disturbed how a couple of them (I can't remember names) were thinking of converting yet made no mention of a belief in God. As a committed Christian myself I found myself agreeing with a lot of what the mentors say. (eg I don't drink, don't believe in premarital sex and try not to look like a tart)To me though, the experiment is all very false. Its easy to live by a list of rules, but you can't force faith. Whilst not wanting to water down either of our beliefs I think we can truly learn from eachother. For example, praying 5 times a day might not be required from me, but this programme made me think that perhaps its something I should require of myself to ensure I stay close to God.
