Perhaps he thinks his people are so powerful that they can say things like this and get away with it. However, the West's friendliness to Jews, and indulgence of Zionism, since the Holocaust has much to do with guilt but also much to do with the fact that the Jews have fitted into European society by mostly shedding their outward differences and many of the religious strictures which marked them apart; they are seen as familiar and not foreign. If too many of them have Yerushalmi's attitude, this impression won't last long. As-Salaamu ‘alaikum,
