You can subscribe to the list (see sign-up box in the column on the right). You must be on the list to receive the conference call dial in information. Also please don't forget to send in your questions to muslimmatters //at// gmail so that they can be asked on the call. This is your opportunity to get your important questions answered live this Saturday night.

This will be a regular tele-conference. A dial in number and participant code will be given out and you will dial the number, enter the participant code, and then you will be joined to the call. The number will be a US area code, meaning it will probably be a long distance call. We will do our best to record it, however, there is a possibility of technical difficulties, etc so please do your best to join the call.

Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullah

Is this conference call gonna be an online thing, or a ‘hardline’ thing? I’m a bit confused about how this is going to work. I’ll prolly be awake at that time (i have been the past week), cos i write best in the wee hours, so i figure i may as well check it out. But being based in the UK, just wondering if it’s possible?

Jazakallah. It’s probably too late to make changes to your plans now, but if you ever do something like this again in the future, inshallah, please research into methods that utilize VoIP, or live webcasts (i think Sh. Yusuf Estes does them on his site), so that folks abroad can get involved, without worrying about long distance charges.

PalTalk’s a great alternative as well… everyone with an Internet connection can participate for free, regardless of whether it’s long distance or not.
