SubhaanAllaah, and the Messenger salallahu alayhi wasallam has told us to remember the destroyers of pleasures often – for it is that which will make us turn back, realizing the imminence of death and inshaa’Allah increasing in attaining good deeds, seeking the Pleasure of Allah ta’ala.

The Jumu’ah before last I was leaving the masjid when a woman entering turned to me and cried “I need help … I need help burying my daughter” the response was a mixture of shock, stagnation, grief and an attempt to help her go about the proper means to fulfill this (may Allaah ta’ala bestow upon her His mercy, forgive her daughter of her sins and enter her into Jannah) … subhaan’Allah death is upon us, and it’d do us great benefit to remember this reality often and much.
