It was a good listen, alhamdulillah. It got a bit long in the middle but then picked up speed again... Yasir Qadhi said that Progressives bring up issues [like, I guess some women's rights issues] that are quite valid, while others are not. This was an important point to make. A couple of comments based on quotes from the lecture: Would a Progressive claim that everyone for the past 1400 years "got it wrong"? or "they reject hadeeth in total" Do they still not use the past scholars, plus hadeeth, as we do, to back up their views? "They don't care about academics" or don't talk about "issues of the heart" - would not these be generalising claims?
